For an institute that aims to provide advanced eye care to the underprivileged sections of the society. Outreach forms an important arm to disseminate information and provide services to the larger population of the state. At MGMEI, the program aims to reach out to communities who for reasons of lack of awareness, support or economic hardships are not able to avail the eye care facilities on their own.
Outreach programs are held at regular intervals with the support of NGO’s, local bodies, village Sarpanch and Community Volunteers. The MGM Outreach team comprising of Optometrist, Vision technicians, Ophthalmic Nurse Assistant, Camp Coordinator etc visits the camp place and do eye screening of the community people and spreads awareness about eye health and eye donation.
