Dr. Swapnil Madhukar Parchand

Dr Swapnil Madhukar Parchand completed MS (Ophthalmology) from Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh in 2010. He was also awarded DNB Degree in Ophthalmology. He was awarded FAICO Fellowship degree in Retina and Vitreous by AIOS in 2019. He was bestowed prestigious MRCS degree in 2022 by Royal College of Surgeons (Glasgow, UK). He was also awarded MNAMS degree in 2021. Dr Swapnil Parchand was Senior Resident in Retina and Uveitis Services at PGIMER, Chandigarh from 2010 to 2013. After completing his Senior Residency, he worked as Assistant Professor in Department of Ophthalmology at Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER), Puducherry from 2014 to 2017. He was incharge of Retina, Uveitis and Retinopathy of Prematurity (ROP) Services at JIPMER. He joined MGM Eye Institute in 2017 as Consultant in Vitreo-retina and Uveitis Services. His areas of interest are Retinal diseases, uveitis, ROP and ocular trauma. Dr Swapnil M Parchand has presented many research papers in various National and International conferences. He is reviewer of International Journals like Ocular Immunology and Inflammation, International Ophthalmology and BMJ Case Reports. To his credit he has more than 35 publications in reputed national and international journals highlighting his work in Retina and Uveitis.
